CLSI at AACC: 2018 Highlights

Last month CLSI attended the 70th AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo, which is the largest global scientific conference and tradeshow in the field of laboratory medicine and is sponsored by the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC). AACC is a global scientific and medical professional organization dedicated to clinical laboratory science and its application to healthcare. Their leadership in education, advocacy and collaboration helps lab professionals adapt to change and do what they do best: provide vital insight and guidance so patients get the care they need.
CLSI’s Dave Sterry, Senior Director of Standards, presented a poster about a joint endeavor between CLSI and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Together, CLSI and CDC launched a 5-year study to identify strategies to increase the dissemination and adoption of CLSI’s laboratory practice guidelines.
Our staff enjoyed meeting with current and future CLSI members at our Membership Open House, and chatting with attendees who stopped by the CLSI booth to meet us.
